Prayer Reign International
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete
Inspired by this verse in John 16:24 and a reading from the gospel of Luke 22: 39-41, I conceived the vision of Prayer Reign International during one of my prayer moments. That despite being the Son of God, Jesus often went to the Mount of Olive to pray sunk deep and the vision of a centre dedicated to prayer was born.
Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples followed Him. On reaching the place, he said to them, “pray that you will not fall into temptation”. He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed
It came on me as a challenge for us, the followers of Christ today; how many times do you retreat from day to day life to pray? How are you praying? Are you fully committed to prayer? Do you feel adequate at times and in no need of prayers? Are you facing the battles in your life on the same level as the enemy?
If Jesus, Son of God, was deeply committed to prayer; how should it be for us -mere mortals? I’m inviting you to take it a notch higher. Jesus withdrew about a stone’s throw, knelt down and prayed. To conquer, climbing the Mount of Olive and getting on our knees must become a habit.
“Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”
