Proverbs 28:1

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Acts 4:31

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly

New International Version

Fear is not of God. I don’t know what you are afraid of. Is it water? The future? Employment? Giving birth? Consider taking whatever is giving you goosebumps and butterflies to God in prayer.

I am drawing a lot of encouragement from this scripture, the righteous are as bold as a lion. Our boldness comes from the knowledge of who we believe in; His ability and power through the Holy Spirit. Paul says I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. We can always go back to God for new strength.

The apostles were praying in Acts 4 above and the Holy Spirit came upon them a second time, they received new strength and preached the word of God boldly. They had faced opposition from chief priest, elders and Sanhedrin after the healing of the lame man at the beautiful gate. The Sanhedrin had warned them not to preach in the name of Jesus again. When they prayed the reverse happened. Only prayer in the name of Jesus can reverse situations.

Chose to walk boldly in the power of the Holy Spirit. Desire His outpowering that will give you strength to face every challenge that comes your way.

PRAYER

Oh Lord, I come before you today, I acknowledge I need your help. In my weaknesses show yourself strong and give me new strength to fight every giant in my life. Give the boldness of the righteous just as your word says in Proverbs 28:1.

Today I want to experience your breakthrough and victory, in Jesus name I pray and believe.
